CHECKED attribute

Has anyone had any luck setting the CHECKED attribute of the radio or
checkbox input field using CGIDEV2?

I've tried "true", "TRUE", true, and TRUE and the corresponding FALSES. I
can see the values in the generated source, but the checkbox still remains
checked.
