I haven't gotten a response on the JAVA400 list and perhaps this is the better list anyway....
I have a servlet running under Tomcat 5.0 on our V5R3M0 iSeries that throws
a javax.servlet.ServletException: "AWT class or API used without specifying
property os400.awt.native=true or java.awt.headless=true" exception when
generating a Jasper report.
The Java400 list had a dead on hit on the error but it had a bit of missing information, namely how the properties were set so that os400.awt.native=true or java.awt.headless=true properties could be seen by Tomcat.
I added two entries to /QIBM/UserData/Java400/SystemDefault.properties file
java.version=1.4 java.awt.headless=true
I ended Tomcat on the iSeries and then restarted it and accessed the
application again with the same result.
I probably missed something simple here but, what did I miss?
Now I am also seeing two errors in the job log of the Tomcat instance:
The requested heap space operation is invalid. (MCH6902) The pointer parameter passed to free or realloc is not valid.(C2M1212)
The servlet is still running but when I execute the jasper report I get the servlet exception (listed above).
Any help would be appreciated.
