Luis,

Chances are, you have two different HTTP instances running and only one of them
is protected with a validation list. If you look at subsystem QHTTPSVR, you'll
see a series of jobs with different names for each server instance. If you go
to http://myserver:2001/HTTPAdmin and view all servers (how you do this depends
upon what version of OS/400 you're on and how current you are on group PTF's),
you'll see which instances are serving a particular port.

Subject: [WEB400] Using validation lists

Hi all,

Warning: newbie in iSeries Web enablement :-)

I am using a validation list to access my server. If I use
http://myserver:80, it asks for userid & password (ok!!). Nevertheless,
if I change my port to say, http:/myserver:9080/xx/entry (as in a HATS
project) and enter this address directly, it acceses it directly (no
user id prompt).

How can I avoid this?

Thanks all,

Luis Rodriguez
