Yes, try updating. There has been MAJOR inprovements since 0.8. Or if
you would like wait about 2 weeks and install 0.10. This will be one
of the first 1.0 prereleases.

I have gotten java to work with Mozilla 1.5 or 1.6, but I haven't
played with that since. I know I had problems getting it working.
