WebSphere express minimum requirements -- WEB400

Wanting to load the latest release of WebSphere express, have a weak 170 for
this purpose.
Has anybody actually tried to load WebSphere express using 30 CPW instead of
the recommended 300 CPW.
Will it even work? I can live with slow startup and responses, concerned
about be able to learn on it.
Those who are using much less than 300 CPW, can you share your experience?
