Check out my GETURI utility at www.bvstools.com/geturi.html. It will do what you ask. It's basically an HTTP client for the AS/400. It has a command interface as well as an RPG API type interface that makes things even easier. It will do HEAD, GET, or POST and do normal HTTP or SSL, including client authentication. It also does Basic Authentication and can even replication a file upload web page.
