This was exactly the same reason our company used portals.
 But, it all went to the dark side.  :)  I'm not saying
there isn't potential, but this technology has been around
for years and I personally haven't seen it used for it's
intended purpose.

But, with more web apps already created, I can see how
maybe this time it may work better.
