A static IP address is not free by any means, but you'll usually get one if you're getting a business account (such as SDSL). Cable modems and dialup usually do not have a static IP, but the dynamic DNS gets around that for people who can't afford a DSL connection; it really is a workable solution for home businesses. Joe
