What works for this particular issue is the following: RedirectMatch 301 /$ http://www.plutabrothers.com/PBDWeb/index.html I added this by using the "Redirects" tab of the "URL Mapping" page of the "Manage" tab for the Apache server. It took a few tries, but luckily start/stop of an Apache server is pretty quick <smile>. Joe
