you seem hell bent on ignoring the fact that the Python, Perl, et al, classes or packages are publicly available. The RPG classes... well you have to write them yourself (yes I know about CGI-DEV)

The fact that they are publicly and widely available is the productivity multiplier that makes Hans 3 lines of code statement valid.

You keep forgetting that those built in functions you're
using in Perl, Python or Java to convert TIFF to PDF (or
whatever you are doing) contains thousands of lines of
code.
