I tend to agree with you Hans - but in this case I'm trying to position source code so that the user (if they have a big enough screen) can see both the source code and the narrative that describes it at the same time. I want to avoid frames - it always seems to me they cause more problems than they solve, and haven't got into style sheets enough to use them here. It just seemed rather odd behavior!
