>Was the elapsed CPU time for the green-screen >program derived from the sum of more than one job? No. I signed on, called the menu and did the inquiries. >What is the "WEBFACING" server that runs >in subsystem QEJBADV4? I set up a separate WAS instance just to segregate my stuff from our Java developers' stuff. Hers runs in the default instance. >Does the browser connect directly to it? That >Job seemed to be responsible for about 95% >of the CPU time consumed. I believe the browser connects to the HTTP server. >Does the HTML stream passed through the HTTP >Server, at all?. The reason I ask is because >the HTTP Server BCH Job is typically >responsible for about 35% of consumed CPU >time pertaining to Web applications on my system. I believe the browser connects to the HTTP server who then uses a lightweight process to hook into WAS. I am far from expert in how the electrons flow from the browser to the JSP and back, but I know for a fact that if the HTTP server is down I cannot see my WebFaced application. --buck
