Hi Everyone,
            When you guys write a CGI program, at the end of the program
do you leave your physical files open? Or do you close them? I have been
closing mine. What problems could I face if I leave them open verse's
closing them each time?

That depends.

If your CGI is the only program that opens the files, then let them open
and return. The next request will be answered faster - with an activation
group other than *NEW, of course.

If other programs need exclusive access or re-arrange the data to heavily
(so that displaying them at that stage makes no sense) then close them or
set on LR before returning.
