~~~I have several reports in pdf format on the original http
~~~server under
~~~V4R4. Some of the files are quite large and take a while to
~~~load so I'm
~~~wondering if there's a way to display a "Loading..." splash
You could hunt down info on: window.createPopup();
This is something you can show until the complete event, then hide.
I thought this presented a very nice behavior.
I have tested a few methods, most while transitioning from page to page.
In my case, code must work on multiple platforms/versions of HTTP but only
IE for the client was needed.
I found it too big of a task to interregate the server for progress reports
for what I was doing.
But my understanding is that it is possible to have the server tell you.
Short of that, the examples I saw on the internet left a lot to be desired
for business use.
I found little in "real documentation" also.
