The humor in it was the first thing I noticed. Then I reflected more deeply
on it.

The high-level competition between IBM and Microsoft is based on a standards
vs. proprietary value proposition. But what if the steam behind that
argument were to eventually evaporate.

Would more people resort back to RPG for things like Web development?

Or if IBM's message really takes hold, and people continue to adopt
Websphere and Java, will those applications eventually migrate to Intel
platforms?
