I don't understand, either.  Particularly if users are accustomed to getting
work done.  Or using their systems to drive other work in addition to
workstations.

A salesman who needed to demo screens that had a refresh rate of 3 seconds
would hate his job.  What would he do if the demo machine were being used
simultaneously for production work, and the demo were performed over the
Internet?  Response times may go to 5 seconds, or more.

Wouldn't it be ironic if the salesman had previously explained that his
software ran on one of the most powerful computers in the world.  The
customer would probably excuse himself, at that point :-(
