Andrew, Sorry to be so late to the party. I implemented a similar solution to generate a graphic panel cutting map. I used a table rather than an image because I found that it rendered more quickly. Here is a sample of what is generated from the custom tag that renders the "graphic": <div class="sawlayout"> <table border="1" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" width="221.0" height="62.0"> <tbody> <tr> <td width="54.75%" height="79.03%" bgcolor="cccccc">(1)49.0x121.0</td> <td colspan="2" width="33.03%" height="79.03%" bgcolor="cccccc">(2)49.0x73.0</td> <td rowspan="3" width="12.22%" height="100.0%" bgcolor="ffffff"></td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="2" width="87.33%" height="19.46%" bgcolor="cccccc">(3)12.0625x193.0</td> <td width="0.45%" height="19.46%" bgcolor="ff0000"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="3" width="87.78%" height="1.51%" bgcolor="ffffff"></td> </tr> </tbody> </table> </div> In this case this is a panel that starts as 221 x 62 inches and is cut into three products with some waste that is shown in read. The white part is the underutilization of the machine. David Morris >>> Andrewb@SETACORPORATION.com 01/18/02 11:14AM >>> WHY! Here's what you can do... 1) Why not use the line HTML code to produce a line that is xxx in pixel size? 2) Why not take a 1x1 pixel graphic and expand it's size accordingly. Solid colors work (look @ www.cnn.com and see how they produce their daily graphs of the surveys they produce. One color is red, the other is orange. 3) After that, I'm kinda tapped out. As long as you're not graphing a dynamic map, this is a great method. Use the following mock up of the image when you're done. <img src="/myimage/blue.gif" width="$(percent)" height="10"> or something like it. Do dis suffice? Andrew Borts / Webmaster
