To position the cursor, you need to use JavaScript. Generally it's added to the BODY tag with an OnLoad event, but if your page is slow to load, you'll want to put it elsewhere. For an OnLoad example, view source on http://lifetrek.net/ or for the other, view source on http://porterfield.net/search/ document.forms[0].keyword.focus(); // document and forms are reserved words, forms is an array that can be referenced by number or name if you named your form.
