I just put a ticket in for this. It's really doing my head in.

Hi Jason, back in 96 we improved the search for preferences. (Mostly
because I hated trying to remember where the open in browse mode was.)

Open preferences and type Syntax in the upper left corner. It will
highlight all places the word Syntax is in preferences. Then click the ILE
RPG under IBM i parsers.

I did a restore to defaults (then pushed cancel) and it's normally
selected. Unselect that and it should help.

Hope this helps!

I am in an SQL RPG yes. As far as 'Automatic Syntax checking of SQL
Statements (performed on the server)' also checked?, it would be what ever
the defaults were when I installed 9.9. Sometimes these settings are almost
impossible to locate.

Also, at times content assist does not function at all. Right now I have a
SQL RPG open, I'm inside the code, and hitting control + space is doing
nothing. If I go to Edit, at the bottom Content Assist is grayed out.

It's very hit or miss. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not.

Hi Jason,

It's likely the automatic syntax checker triggered when you press Enter.

It shouldn't be using a popup, but that would be likely triggered on
the enter of a line.

Are you in an SQl member, and do you have Automatic syntax checking on?
And if so, is the 'Automatic Syntax checking of SQL Statements
(performed on the server)' also checked?

The latest update for RDi 9.9 has produced something strange. When
context assist is working, if I type in a line of code and press
enter, a small window opens for a half a second. I finally got a look
at it and it says Operation In Progress. Is anyone else seeing this?
