Hi Steve,

My very personal opinion is that it is too much effort to include
formatting in the "RPG-Toolbox". I think that it is way better to have
formatting at my fingertips in RDi. The RPG-Toolbox is a one-shot utility
for converting RPG code. But formatting is something I need "every day".

I could have my team make an update for that as well.

alignment today. Or include it in the idea.

Thank you for your email. I greatly appreciate that you will bring back
the i Projects Navigator. I already noticed that in the last update. In
fact I still use 9.8 because of the missing view.

I think I will add an Idea, tomorrow. The reason for my question is that I
develop a formatter plug-in for dcl-* Statements, because I am not happy
with the output of Linoma's RPG-Toolbox utility. The plug-in already
executes the IBM formatter before running its own formatter, if started
from the Lpex view. It would be great if I could include the IBM formatter
outside the view as well.

Since 9.6, the ISeriesEditorRPGILEParser is required to run the format
action. For now you'll need to open the member, use the Source menu
and press format. (Using Project explorer to open.)

I'd suggest opening an idea.

We are bringing back the iProjects navigator, but I don't think it was
a menu option on that in the past either.

does somebody know whether it is possible to call the "Format" (RPGLE
Source) command from a filter in the Remote Systems view or for files

or

members of an i Project?

What I could figure out so far is that the source formatter requires a
Lpex view. But I did not yet stop hoping it can be called for a .rpgle
file without the Lpex view.
