Hi Doug,

I wrote a bunch of blog posts - including one on RDi 9.9 today:

Maybe those tips will help you a bit.

You won't need most of the RDi 9.8 tips - as 9.9 has fixes for most of the problems.

Hi Doug,

If you use the check for updates, it will take you to the last version of 98.

If you pay for maintenance, you can upgrade to 99. I'd still update 98 so you have the latest Java Update.

In 99, we no longer ship ACS. So, users need to install it first, and launch it, then the saved ACS configurations will launch with the buttons in RDi.

The iSeries Navigator was not shipped in 9900, but the latest update does add it back with some limited function. We will be expanding the actions back in future releases.

I am currently running RDi Version 9.8.0.2

What is the best way to update it to the current release?

Are there any issues I should be aware of?

Thank you,

Doug
