I think they are doing their best to delay working on it.
Rules for vendors who like to defer spending as long as possible.
1 - Never participate in IBM Early Programs. This takes out waiting for
the new release to become public as an excuse.
2 - Run ancient hardware. This allows you an excuse that you are waiting
for a P05 tier of the Power 11 to become public. Thus your hardware
doesn't support the new release.
3 - Find the next excuse. 7.6 GA now? Then use one of the next as a
backup
3a - P05 Power 11
3b - 9.9 of RDI (again, never join Early Programs, wait for GA)
3c - Add vscode to the excuse list for the next release
4 - Point fingers at bad comparisons. Like IBM only releases new versions
of IBM i every 3 years. That seems to be good. Just ignore stuff like
TR's, cume's, PTF's, etc.
We dropped Softlanding's Turnover solely because of such practices.
Perhaps it's time to look again.

What? You didn't like waiting a year (was it longer?) after RDi 9.8 wasthe
available before the plugin was ready?
I wonder if they'll port the plug-in to VS Code.

I am using a vendor change management product with RDi. Can vendors get
early access so they can certify their software with this new release?
