Folks:

Does anyone have any advice for debugging programs that have very
complex data structures?

I've got a number of programs that have multiple nested data structure
arrays and cannot get the debugger to show me their values.

I either get a ...

dbge0004E could not evaluate expression xxx

... or ...

CRRDG3137E The given expression could not be monitored.
Server: CPF8E32 Debug Interpreter Heap limit reached.

... error messages.

I've tried qualifying the data structure that I want to monitor as
much as possible... Using the variable the program is using to
reference the structure array element ...
structure(x).substructure(y).subsubstructure(z)

I've also tried specifying the array index values explicitly ...
structure(1).substructure(2).subsubstructure(3)

Neither works.

Regarding the CPF8E32 error above ... is there a way to increase the
debug interpreter heap limit?

Thanks!

david
