Our company also Allow listed in Sentinel One using a generic value. We use our user folders.

We also tried downloading and using the AWS Corretto JVM. That also worked for our team.

We have passed this information to the IBM Semerui JVM team.

We did something in SentinelOne. I am going to forward your note to the person that does that and have him verify it is setup and working.
I have to wonder if his change did not take place.

Hi Kerwin,

As much as we tried around - white-listing "RDi.exe" was the only
solution we found, that permanently worked.

We decided, to white-list the partial path:

*\IBM\RDi\RDi.exe

So whenever there is a RDi.exe in a directory named "RDi" which is
inside a directory "IBM" - the white-list entry works. So we can make
several installations, where only the "path-ending" has to match.

I recommend to do something similar with your SentinelOne admins.

Did a fix ever get done for this.
We recently purchased a laptop that came with Win11 24H2. We are
getting this same error. I have done the SentinelOne update. We
found a post on another forum to change the JAVA we use to Coretto.
We tried that. Same thing.
Any help would be appreciated, of course the laptop is for the owner
of
the
company...

The problem only seems to occur with RDI 9.8 when you update to

other security programs that are doing the same checking but pretty
much every one that I have seen has been SentinelOne. My
understanding is that it
has
to do with how Eclipse is doing some memory management or
something, I
have
never been told the exact technical cause, sorry.

Whitelisting it is not ideal for sure but does help to get around
the issue.

All the best, Mike

What you can do as a temporary work-around is to whitelist RDI
(rdi.exe and the active javaw.exe) in SentinelOne. This is likely
something that your IT has to do for you but it seems to have
worked for all the
instances
that I know of.

Similarly for 9.6 but I don't expect a fix for it as it will be
going
out
of support in a couple of months I think.
