Sorry, I should have been more precise. Yes, I am at RDi 9.8.0.4. Verify
Connection does NOT show any additional PTF's required.

Is SJ01448 still required?

Thx for any and all help.
Brian.

What does “RDI 9.8” mean, 9.8.0.0 or 9.8.0.4? You will want the latter.

The latest RDI debug PTF is V7R4 PTF SJ01448 and you should make sure that
you are current with the IBM I debug engine PTFs/

Subject: [EXTERNAL] [WDSCI-L] RDi Debug conundrum
Has anyone encountered this situation and can offer a suggestion as to
some setting I might be missing? Or is it a bug in RDi 9.8?

I am trying to debug a program using SEP in RDi. Works absolutely fine
in RDi 9.6, but fails in RDi 9.8. Exactly the same library/program, on
exactly the same V7.4 server, using exactly the same User Profile.

I have checked PTFs (Verify Connection) - none required. When attempting
to set SEP in RDi 9.8 I get the messages:

=============
"IBM i Debug Server has not been started yet.
Press Yes to start debug server. Press No to abort this debug session.

Communication required by Service Entry Point function dropped. Service
Entry Point(s) set by user xxxx at server xxxx will be removed."
=============

Yet all works just fine under RDi 9.6. What am I overlooking?
Brian.
