The latest version (6.0.6.r) of iSphere can be download in ZIP form from here:
https://rdi-open-source.github.io/isphere/files/

(I find the "local update" method to be the most flexible and reliable way of installing.)

The Help provides excellent guidance on the various install approaches for the plug-in:
https://rdi-open-source.github.io/isphere//help/
(expand INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS in the contents list on the left-hand side.)

Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but you HAVE installed iSphere 6.0.6.r both in RDi 9.6 AND RDi 9.8.0.2, (i.e. two  separate installs required)?

Once installed, the next step is to upload the *SAVF to the IBM i server(s) and restore the ISPHERE library (*LIB) - so both client and server are at the same release level.

HTH,
Brian.

Brian,

I am thinking along your same lines somewhat.

I have RDi 9.6 and RDi 9.8.0.2 both installed on my desktop and both
operate concurrently.

I cleared out the iSphere library, and reloaded it according to the
directions on the site Marco provided. All was well with the install. Even
though I followed the directions to download what appeared to be a back
version, I noticed on the install process it showed iSphere 6. I even
uninstalled iSphere from RDi, in hopes to start fresh.

Now, when I go into RDi 9.6, everything works as expected with iSphere.

When I go into RDi 9.8.0.2, I get a pop-up with any iSphere option stating
my iSphere library is 5.2.9 and for 9.8.0.2 a minimum of iSphere 6.0.1 is
needed.

I am assuming that I need to get a copy of iSphere at version 6 level,
which is what I thought I installed, but something is not correct. I am
continuing to use iSphere with the older version of RDi when I need it,
but it would be nice to have it working in 9.8.0.2 also.

Thank you,

Doug
