Hi Thomas,
Well run as administrator worked.
I think I have been caught by this before and as such I apologize for not
realizing/trying that first.
Thank you for your assistance and great plugin!!!
Cheers
Don

Hi Don,
I remember there was a problem with the "com.google.gson" plug-in long ago
(9.5?). But that must not necessarily be the problem you have, I think. I
have only seen the "No repository found containing ..." messages when
users tried to install a plug-in without administrator previledges. So
probably that may help you as well.
Right-click the RDi icon and select "Run as administrator", then try to
install iSphere. In case that you have selected "Contact all update sites
during install to find required software", deselect that option.
From the iSphere help:
" Make sure that you have administrator rights if you installed RDi into
c:\Program Files.
Otherwise you may encounter strange error messages such as 'No repository
found containing ...' when attempting to install the iSphere plug-in."
" Some people complained about various dependency errors, which could be
solved by deselecting all update sites, leaving only iSphere checked."
If that does not help, you most likely are effected by the
"com.google.gson" plug-in Mike mentioned. But if I recall correctly, then
the error message of that problem was "Unresolved requirement:
Import-Package: com.google.gson", which is different from the message you
get.
Last but not least, for me installing RDi into a directory next to
"c:\Program Files" worked best, so far. I installed by RDi(s) into "
c:\IBM\RDi_09x". I do not remember any problems with repositories that
could not be found.
Let us know if the "Run as administrator" option helped.
Thomas.

I would guess that either the install was done prior to 9.6.0.6 or the
workspace was migrated from then. Now I have a kludge of a patch and
instruction that I made for 9.6.0.5 that *should* fix the problem but I'd
need a case to be able to deliver it to you. The long clean way to fix
this would be to do a fresh install of 9.6.0.13 and use a new workspace
then just import connections only from the old workspace but that is
generally more work than many wish to do.

Thomas,
I have updated IM as suggested by Mike.
I have successfully updated RDi to 9.6.0.13.
But I have an error when trying to install iSphere ...
An error occurred while collecting items to be installed session context

I followed the instructions from this page:

Could you advise what I could try please.
Thanks

Yes, it will work with 9.6. iSphere is compatible with 9.5.1.3 and higher.
But you need to update your iSphere library. The library shipped with
6.0.0.b001 is backwardcompatible. So that should not be a problem. Another
option you have is to restore the library to "ISPHERE6", for exyample, and
keep the existing library. Then change the iSphere library in your RDi
from "ISPHERE" to "ISPHERE6".
Thomas.

Hi Thomas,
Will this update work with 9.6 ?
Also can someone provide the RDi update site for 9.6 - I have
https://www.ibm.com/software/repositorymanager/com.ibm.rational.developer.ibmi.v96
and that fails.
Thanks

Hi Folks,
I released iSphere 6.0.0.b001 and it would be great if some taff girls
or
boys would give it a try (help with testing).
The new feature is called "iSphere Synchronize Members". The "iSphere
Synchronize Members" can be launched from the Remote Systems view for 2
source files or 2 libraries. It is a 2-side compare editor, similar to
the
"iSphere Compare Message File" editor.
You can use it for comparing source members by content and/or last
changed
date. Using option "last changed date" is not useful when synchronizing
members located on different systems, because there is no way to
synchronize the members and update the last change date. At the moment
I
do not hink that using save/restore is a good option. But I am not yet
through with that.
Please refer to the iSphere help for details:

Other enhancements and bug fixes are:
* Start iSphere source file search from the result view. (search the
result of a search).
* Start iSphere stream file search from the result view. (search the
result of a search).
* iSphere Source-, Message- and Stream File Search now accept search
arguments up to 256 characters.
* Fixed unexpected member lock when comparing members in browse mode.
(iSphere ticket #146)
Please have a focus on the new "iSphere Synchronize Members" editor and
the "Copy Members to..." option, which has been affected by the new
"iSphere Synchronize Members" editor.
