Hello,

I do have a very strange locking problem in RDi when I load a member into
the LPEX editor in edit mode and then start the iSphere compare editor for
the same member. In that case I cannot save my changes in the LPEX editor.

But when I do it vice versa (first start the compare editor in browse
mode, then open the LPEX editor in edit mode) I can save my changes in the
LPEX editor.

I also can save the changes, when I use two instances of RDi. So there is
definitely no "real" lock on the IBM i. At least I cannot see anything
interesting with WRKOBJLCK. There are locks, of course, but they do not
change when I start the compare editor. I am also sure, that iSphere does
not put any locks on the member if the compare editor is started in browse
mode.

See also: [1]iSphere ticket #146.

At the moment my best bet is that the problem is somewhere in QRWTSRVR.

Any new ideas? If not I consider opening a case at IBM.

Thank you for your interest.

Thomas.
