Indicator sets, what a lovely but practically worthless feature.
You can only use indicator groups in Preview mode and Preview mode practically worthless.

I really wish Screen Designer gave us the ability to click on elements and open the corresponding properties pages.

I find that to be one of its biggest disadvantages of Screen Designer.

Preview mode is just a picture of where stuff is at. You are not allowed to "know" what those elements are, just where they are located.

Read-Only mode is not much better. You can mouse over elements and get their name on the Design tab, but if you want anything useful you have to go into code mode or open the outline and attempt find stuff.


And if that wasn't bad enough, "Preview" mode in "Read-Only" mode is the absolute worst. Not only can you not check properties, but now you can't even utilize the indicator sets you so painstakingly added to the source.

Just in case you have yet to discover it Buzz ...



Screen Designer also has the advantage over SDA that you can save named sets of conditioning indicators for testing the screen. It always bugged me that I would have to key them all into SDA only to have it forget them all for the next test.



In a similar fashion, you can save named groups of formats to be edited/displayed/tested together.
