Tried RESET PERSPECTIVE and the -clean option. Neither worked. But thanks for the suggestion, David.

Have you tried resetting the perspective?

I’m not near a computer at the moment, but I think you go to the window
menu, select the perspective option, and there should be a reset option.

OK, so I think I have identified a bug in RDi 9.8 which is probably
Eclipse-related. (Running under Windows 10.)

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=565946

- If I start RDi 9.8 using an existing workspace, (copied from 9.6) none
of the Views have the Close icon (X) on the tabs.

- If I start 9.8 with a fresh (new) Workspace - the X-icons are present.

- As an alternative, I tried the FILE > EXPORT (and IMPORT) facility to
export/import an RDi configuration file (.cfg) from 9.6. to 9.8. The
X-icons are still missing.

It'll be a real pain to have to set up a new Workspace in 9.8 with all
the customised Connections, Perspectives, Filters, User Actions, etc. I
am using!! What are the experiences of other folk?

OK, I'm stumped. This is probably an Eclipse thing: I cannot find a
simple way of closing a View within RDi 9.8.

As of 9.8 the "X" icon is not longer present on all View tabs. The
only way I've found to close a View is:

- Right-click on the View Tab
- A DETACH option appears - select this to detach the View from the
Workbench
- The detached View now has the close (X) icon which can be actioned

Am I missing something? A Preference somewhere? (I have searched.) Or
is this an Eclipse usability "improvement"?
