Just to clarify...
The Source=>Verify menu option is going away.

Source=>Syntax Check All and live syntax checking will remain.

Is that correct?

Hi Damien,

Mac OS doesn't have the off-line program verification or syntax checker in
version 9.6. Only Windows and Linux currently have them in 9.6.

IBM is dropping the support for off-line Linux Program Verifier, but we
will continue to improve the live parser to flag errors so users won't need
to invoke the program verifier.

RDi will continue to have online syntax checking for all supported OS
level, but only Windows 64 bit will continue to allow off-line Program
Verification.

Also, if you use the off-line Program Verifier today in Linux, now is the
time to let IBM know you value it.
