I've been also having this problem since 5.0.1. The only work-around I could find was to totally uninstall RDi, and begin again. I also use PTC Implementer plug-ins and a Craig Rutledge plugin to convert H/D specs to free-form, however, uninstalling both of those plug-ins does not seem to help.

Using the Check for Updates option under Help... it finds the repository and recognizes that I need to update. After agreeing to Terms and Conditions, it begins the software update. I get somewhere between 20-30% complete before this error:
