Hi Brian,

You are correct in that that once you use the service and connect, the label will display "connected".

In the past, it would say successful even if the system wasn't actually connected, but simply had an AS400 object associated with the service.

Should I be concerned - or is this just a subtle change of wording with recent Fixpacks?

If I check my connection to the IBM i server, (i.e. Verify Connection) I now see the words "connected" and "available" where once I would see "successful".

EXAMPLE:
Right-click Objects subsystem on any server connection > Verify Connection

Connection to Central service - available > Connection to Command service - connected

(Both used to be "successful".) I've checked the Help but there's no advice on what the different terminology actually means. I <think> the service is "available" until used by me; once used, I become "connected"
- correct?

Brian.
