Enabling port forwarding (or not) is part of the SSH server (SSHD) on the
IBM i, not a client configuration thing. The debugger will try to connect
to the client over port 3845 and this is done via SSH in the secure
connection scenario. Admittedly SSH is (to me) a bit of an occult art.
The default is to connect the SSH using uid/pwd but that is turned off in
some cases so the shared private/public key thing will get around that.
There are also some yet unresolved SSH authentication issues when using
Kerberos.

SSH port forwarding I understand ... Not clear what or where in the
settings I'd set it up to make RDi happy.
I don't see anything in the properties of the connection to direct it to
request any port forwarding. I see that I can set a host port for
debugging.
Just not sure how to set that all up at connection time, there's not any
connection string dialog for the ssh invocation that I have yet found.
Is there a good app note about that?
