yes that sounds like a reasonable idea - a TCP/IP server is pretty straight forward in Java - I have to get a grip to the RSE/LPEX or maybe iSphere API to trigger the right actions

And of course, I have to find some time to do that.

Since RDi isn't a simple editor that can be invoked from a command line, it's not going to be straight forward.

I suppose a plug-in could be written that creates a tcp server that would invoke the compare view based on content.
