RPGUnit gives you the assert functions and the OS command to run tests.
You have to write your own *SRVPGM that calls your procedures and uses the
RPGUnit assert functions to validate the responses. I'm not sure
mocking/stubbing is applicable in a procedure based language like RPG (as
opposed to OOP like Java). The resuslts give a green check for pass or
yellow exclamation for failure. A text message gives the failure. RPGUnit
doesn't include code coverage (RDi does though, so you can run RDi Code
Coverage in conjuction with RPGUnit).

subject: [WDSCI-L] Inquiry on some technical capabilities of RPGUnit

Hello,
?
I wanted to know some basic technical details about RPGUnit framework
and?iRPGUnit plug-in for RDi.

*?Does it allow to do integration tests, or just unit and regression
testing?
*?Does it allow to do mocking/stubbing?
*?Does it include any code coverage feature?
*?How are errors visualized? Is there any graphical visualization?
*?Are programming skills necessary to generate test cases? Or is there
any kind of "graphical flow" to generate test cases?

Thanks for your help!
