The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
Hi Mark,
I tried this code on OS levels 7.3 and 7.4 and I get compile errors that match the verifier.
Dcl-s var int(10);
eval( h ) var = 10 / 2;
//eval(h) var = 10 / 2;
return;
Are you getting clean compiles with spaces?
I only get clean compiles and verifies without the spaces.
The Program verifier is created by the Compiler team and is generally in synch with current syntax.
If you do get different results, please contact IBM support so we can dig into this issue.
Thanks!
Steve Ferrell

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Syntax checking for Eval( h )
External: Pause and review the sender's email address, any URLs before clicking links, opening attachments, or following requests. When in doubt, contact the Service Desk.
I'm adding the half adjust modifier to an Eval statement. If I enter it as Eval(h) is passes syntax checking. If I enter it as Eval( h ) RDi flags it with a couple of bogus errors (hovering over the red X to the left of the statement number). Is there a fix for this? I am on version 9.6.0.9 20201112_1147.
