You are correct. I can search the base help for %list and I found it. I and my coworkers usually look for BIF functions, doing the following. With an RPG member open, select Source, ILE RPG Help, Built in functions. That section looks like it hasn't been updated yet.

Using RDI and the help, I was able to get the manual on the %list. So that worked.

Maybe you are talking about Code-Assist?
