This is the link I kept Mike https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSAE4W_9.6.0/com.ibm.etools.iseries.troubleshoot.doc/topics/rse/ttrouble7.html <https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSAE4W_9.6.0/com.ibm.etools.iseries.troubleshoot.doc/topics/rse/ttrouble7.html>

I also had a few others including a link to your document but as you say it has disappeared.

Hey David!

Hmm, I used to have a DW Q&A doc for this but it seems to have been
vaporised

Basically use CHGTCPA and change the idle time-out to about 1/2 of the
network time-out. Since it seems that a lot of network appliances just
forget connections after 30 minutes without sending a real disconnect
programs like RDI think they are still connected.

In general CHGTCPA TCPKEEPALV(15) should work if I have remembered the
command and parms correctly.

All the best, Mike

It is on the IBM i side. I can't find my note right now that tells me
what
the command is. CHGTCPA or something like that.

Do you happen to remember the setting on this?

The compile issue I was experiencing is manageable, but the lockup's are a
big
problem.
