It's not expired, but disabled, which I'm sure comes from multiple tries to sign on.

It did detect the need to change, so I changed the password (through RDi) when the system required it (not through a 5250 session). I was fine until I tried to open a source member. It wouldn't allow me because my user profile was disabled. After several resets, I gave up and didn't tell it to save the password. Now, it's not disabling my user profile (with limited accessing so far).

I considered that another plugin or even another process (not RDi) was causing it, but I've not been in the other processes since having the problem. I use iSphere, the only plugin. If that's causing it, I'm not aware of how to fix it.

I'll see what happens after a few days work and if I'm still having problems, I'll get back to you.

I can't think of how RDI itself would expire the password. It should detect that it is about expire and ask you if you want to change the pwd and will prompt you again if the pwd is incorrect.

Keep in mind that other plugins can use the connection to connect to your IBM i so it could be something else trying to reconnect that is using an old saved password?

Running as admin will have zero effect on this. In general running as admin should be avoided for anything other than administering the install, otherwise it can lead to permissions issues.

Right-click on your connection and select Disconnect (if the option is
present)
Right-click on your connection and select Clear Passwords Expand the connection, expand Objects, expand the Library List and you should be prompted for your credentials

It must be one of those strange days. I've tried to change the password within RemoteSystems/Objects/ Change password as suggested, and I get the message that the Password does not meet password rules. Even though the same password entered in green screen works fine.

I'll try again tomorrow, maybe as Administrator.
