I see #1 frequently when working from home. I usually see a message at the
bottom of RDi that says it is syncing resources. Once it is synced the
compiles show up.
I am running IBM's RHEL Linux and I occasionally see number 2. It
typically happens after I have left a member open for edit for a long
time. I changed the TCP timeout to 5 minutes on my primary systems and
that seems to help. When mine locks up it locks up my whole system and I
have to push my on/off button to get out. I have never been able to
completely blame RDi but it only seems to happen when doing a lot of
editing on RDi.

Hi David,
I know that #1 occurs when the last save hasn't finished saving to the
host. I see that with saving and compiling to remote systems via vpn.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] RDi 9.6.0.8 on Ubuntu
Folks:
I'm running the latest RDi on a laptop with Ubuntu 18.04.5.
I've been encountering problems periodically that are rather frustrating.
1. Frequently, when I right click on a member in RSE, the compile option
does not appear. If I wait a few moments, right click again, the compile
option does appear and works fine.
2. Periodically RDi will lock up entirely. I end up having to close the
application entirely. I *think*, if I wait a long time, RDi will start
responding again ... but it takes a while (more than 10 minutes, I think).
Any suggestions on configuration changes or other tweaks that might help?
Thanks!
david
