Hi Kyle,
There is a known issue when running multiple instances of RDi (or Eclipse) on Mac. If you are running only ONE instance, please contact IBM support so we can take a peek.
If you are running two or more, you will need to manually set the RSE port to a different number. (On Windows we can automatically roll to the next port, however on Mac the process needs to be manual.) If you are on 9.6.0.7 or higher, you can type Port in the preferences to find where to set the RSE port.
They will want to know what version of RDi you are using, what release of Mac.
Also, they will request a .meta file log so we can see if any error or race conditions exist.
To get an error log you can go to Quick Access, type Error Log then press enter. From the Error log view, click the icon Export Log, and save it to disk. (It's the first icon on the view menu bar, but you can hover over them to see which one says Export Log.)

Subject: [WDSCI-L] RDi CPU Spike on Mac
External: Pause and review the sender's email address, any URLs before clicking links, opening attachments, or following requests. When in doubt, contact the Service Desk.
In the last couple weeks my RDi will freeze. I check the activity monitor and it will say the CPU is near 600%. I usually force quit then restart it again. This happens a couple of times a day.
I use iProjects with a local git repository. Remote reconciler is on to push all source changes to my home directory on the i. I also use the ssh connection within RDi to run makefiles for builds.
There are no plugins installed.
Has anyone experienced this or can point me in the right direction of something to look for that might be causing the issue.
Thanks
