Re: RDi 9.6.0.7 fixpack is now available!


Which does not work, a clean install of RDI 9.6.0.7 or the install of this
plugin into a new install of RDI 9.6.0.7 and what does "not work" mean in
this context.

If the plugin is not functioning correctly in RDI then that would appear to
be a plugin issue not an RDI Eclipse version issue. Should the plugin not
be compatible with the version of Eclipse then the plugin should be coded
not to install in that version.

I do understand your frustration with the Eclipse versions though.

The plugin developer would be useless when a CLEAN INSTALL DOES NOT
WORK!!!! What would you have me tell them?? Oh I did a clean install of RDi
based on a 400 year old version of Eclipse and before I install your plugin
things aren't working, but you're supposed to help me because it HAS to be
a plugin problem??

Yeah that makes a whole heaping helping of sense.

OK so on my Linux system I had a clean install of 0.6 without any
plugins.
I rarely used RDi so I thought I'd try updating that and see how things
go.
The initial upgrade went fine, but then after installing the plugin Dev
Style which gives a dark theme to Eclipse, everything goes nuts. If I try
to open a member to edit I get a tab that opens with a big red circle at
the corner.

I'd send print screen but you can't on this list.

Already had to go back to 0.6. Kept getting a Java error when I was
opening
members. And, when I did a clean install remote systems explorer kept
throwing Java errors.
