Hi Bill,

Mike Hockings posted this useful link some time back re disconnects:

If the time-out happens after the RSE connection has been left idling for a
while you may wish to review this...

I followed the advice and changed the default keep alive poll as suggested
to 15 minutes which pretty much solved my problem.

I know others have set it to 5 minutes.

Could this be your issue?

Hello all,

I've got a demo copy of RDi, version installed. I really like RDi
and definitely want to get it for our company. Right now though it's
giving me a problem that's kinda worrisome. I can open it up and do some
coding and that works fine, but if I go away from it for any length of time
and then come back and try to do something else, I invariably get the
RSEF1002 - File system input or output error. I've done some research
online and I see where people say to clear the cache and this fixes the
problem, but only temporarily. Is there a permanent fix to this issue that
anyone knows about? Perhaps a PTF that needs installed? Any info would be
most appreciated. Thanks!
