Because i really wanted the Sidecar feature I jumped on Catalina pretty quick and RDi stopped working.
When I started it I got an OS message that Java SE6 needed to be installed but i couldn’t install it as I have Java 7 and 8 installed already.
After googling a bit I asked one of the plugin developers at my company and he googled eclipse instead of RDi and found the solution for me.
This has been fixed in more recent versions of Eclipse starting at 4.9 but not in 4.6.

This thread has the instructions for fixing it, I had to update the plist and then RDi worked fine.

This is NOT a Catalina 10.15 specific bug but the update caused it to start happening for me.
