All,

I'm confused. We got our new IBM i in-house middle of Aug, still not available to us (don't ask!) but I have been bugging my boss about getting the RDi licenses so we could start using them. I have been getting my RDi license extended (Thanks Mike!) with a simple file I download, import into RDi, and it shows my license extended. My boss reached out to our BP and then IBM Software Key Support. This is the answer we got back

"The RDW has to be downloaded from our web site https://www.ibm.com/servers/eserver/ess/ProtectedServlet.wss [ibm.com]<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__www.ibm.com_servers_eserver_ess_ProtectedServlet.wss&d=DwMFAw&c=jOURTkCZzT8tVB5xPEYIm3YJGoxoTaQsQPzPKJGaWbo&r=jFFsrfJukeI3_1504_25tcj_qfI1gv7BeeMsv5LMb1M&m=wrJml5PomHj9n05Slr75gIyte5rNFjA3QSQIc8GV_zo&s=Dpu0N-zk6w4AmBedg8HfKa4YQyNziBC476AjPsPsNtU&e=>. under "software download""

which seems to indicate we have to download it again. What I don't understand is why we can't just get the same type of download I have gotten before? My boss seems to think that we need to have the new box up and running in order to authorize/license it through that process.

Please let me know if I'm mistaken or if we need to do something else.

Thanks
