So with the built-in Dark theme, everything goes dark but the Snippets

I don't know. My trial lapsed and I have not tried again.
But I do have a question for you: Is the Find dialog (at the bottom of
LPEX) still basically unreadable with the built-in dark theme? Is it
any better with the third-party dark theme you installed?

Its current status is "uncommitted", which I guess means "not a bad
idea, and not flat-out rejected, but don't hold your breath either".
