If both instance are running, you may run into port collisions. Make sure each instance on a machine has it's own RSE port number.
Preferences -> Remote Systems -> Communications -> RSE Communications daemon port number.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] RDi not responding on edits
We have a new RDi install that often goes "Not responding" for 10-30 seconds after making an edit to RPGLE source (e.g. using line commands to move source, pressing ENTER after changing a line). I had the dev disable automatic syntax checking, but that didn't help. Anything else we can try?
This is the 2nd install and 3rd workspace on this PC.
