Hi Craig,
I've got the same problem. Toggle function and Shtf-Ctrl-G seems to work
only with RPG/COBOL and CL source. If you open a TXT, SQL, BND or other
type of source member it doesn't work.

But you can use some editor commands to set on and off member's read-only
flag ... so you avoid "closing and re-open your source".
Type "set readonly off" in the LPEX command line and you'll be able to edit
your source member despite of the len-icon

set readonly off
set readonly on

Some time ago I changed the default RDi behaviour so that double clicking a
member in the RSE view opens the member in View Mode.

I then use Shft-Ctrl-G if I want to toggle to Edit Mode.

I've noticed that this does not work when I'm editing SQL Source (which I
appreciate uses a different parser)

Clicking the Browse area (it's not really a button) on the status line at
the bottom of the editor window does not toggle to Edit Mode either.
So I'm forced to close the member and open again by right-clicking in RSE
and selecting Edit With...

Is this a known issue?
I confess I am still running on 9.6.0.3

thanks kindly,
Craig
