That is good info for the Rational team. Makes me think it has to do with parsing.

The only thing that i have noticed is that size does not seem to matter, but the number of functions inside the code does. The more functions I add the more the problem has a tendency to show up. As weird as that is.

Is their a correlation between this problem and the size of the source

Oh yes, that was one of the first things we tried. There have been a
few updates for it since this problem started, and nothing has fixed it yet.

Jason,

Have you tried updating your mouse driver?

Just the LPEX editor window. RSE will scroll and the outline will

When this happens if you move down the source code using the up
and down buttons, the minute you use the scroll wheel it will
bounce you back to when it locked up, and then the wheel does nothing.

Never seen this issue.
Gut reaction is that it sounds like a hardware issue.
When this situation occurs, can you scroll in the RSE window?
Can you scroll in the outline window? Is it just the LPEX editor window?
Do you use a wireless mouse? Is it a low battery issue?

So I got so fed up with this issue that I opened a PMR with IBM,
but
they
said well we can't seem to replicate it.
'
The problem is that when editing programs with RDi the mouse
scroll
wheel
locks up, and you can't use it to scroll up and down the source code.
The
only way I have been able to "fix" this is to close the source
member
and
open the whole thing over again. Then it might work for a while
or it
might
start acting up right away.

I do use the ISphere plugins and am wondering if that could be
adding to the problem or even a direct cause. But figured I'd see
if anyone else
has
ran into this issue.
